Dear Friends in Christ,

There is a question quietly rising in the hearts of many believers today, one that cannot be ignored, softened, or dismissed: Have we truly been following Jesus, or have we been following systems built around His name?

This is not a question of rebellion. It is a question of truth.

When we look at the life of Jesus Christ, we do not see Him aligning Himself with the religious structures of His time. Instead, we see Him walking in authority, in purity, and in direct relationship with the Father. He did not come to uphold religion as men had shaped it, He came to reveal the Kingdom of God.

The religious leaders of that time knew the Scriptures, held positions of influence, and were respected by society. Yet Jesus spoke some of His strongest words against them, not because they lacked knowledge, but because they lacked truth in their hearts.

They had form without power, appearance without transformation. This should cause us to pause.

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6) These are not casual words. They are absolute. They dismantle every idea that access to God can be mediated through systems, titles, or traditions.

Jesus did not point to an institution, He pointed to Himself.

And yet, over time, history has shown us a pattern. What begins in purity often becomes structured. What begins in relationship often becomes ritual. What begins in truth can slowly be replaced by tradition.

This is not new, it is the very cycle we saw with the Pharisees and Sadducees. So what is happening now?

Many are waking up, not in anger, but in awareness. There is a growing realization that something feels misaligned. That in some places, the presence of God has been replaced with performance. That in some circles, influence has taken the place of intimacy.

That the message has been softened to fit comfort rather than to transform lives. But let us be careful.

The answer is not to reject everything. The answer is not isolation, pride, or spiritual independence.

God has always had a people who gather, who grow together, and who strengthen one another.

The early church met, broke bread, and walked in unity but their foundation was Christ, not control. The call is not to abandon the Church, it is to return to Jesus as the center of it.

True freedom is not found in leaving structures; it is found in knowing Christ. True transformation is not found in outward alignment; it is found in inward surrender. And truth is not determined by popularity, it is anchored in the Word of God.

Jesus is still calling today, just as He did then: “Follow Me.” Not a movement. Not a system. Not a title. Him.

So the question is no longer, “Where would Jesus be?” The question is, “Are we truly with Him?”

May we have the courage to seek truth over comfort, relationship over routine, and Christ above all else.

With sincerity and reflection,
